Goldfish

as lessening nears

over my cheeks

the skin’s increase

stows jokes and fears

folded and forgotten

crease by crease

moments that seamed my face

have returned

their loan of meaning

leaving me

one by one

with an after touch of feeling

thus i approach

the bliss of the goldfish,

patrolling its glass coast

seeking memories

in watermarks

of water

happiness says the fish

is being without recall

free to find

a universe

where time is space

and space is time
